5/19/2023 0 Comments The memoirs of ulysses s grant![]() As far as the library rebound covers are concerned, there is a small white mark on front cover, with an adjacent smaller black mark corners of cover and the entire surface show some moderate wear library stampings on the library-supplied first free endpaper and last fixed endpaper (which has a partially-removed card pocket), stamped on top of closed page edges with library name the stamp "Discarded" appears on the first library endpaper, on the first blank page of the actual book, on the tissue guard for the frontispiece, on the facsimile dedication by author page, and on the last free endpaper there are the penciled library underlinings on title page and penciled classification numbers on the copyright page and dedication page there is some foxing at the beginning of the book a tear on the title page a celluloid repair (which has separated) on page 213 page 191/192 has the top part of page removed all illustrations and maps appear to be present EXCEPT the facsimile of General Buckner's dispatch which is only half present one unknown page of volume has been taped-in in going through volume we noticed many small tears to pages, stains, foxing, etc., so we ARE SELLING THIS ITEM "AS IS," with all its faults. ![]() 1 of Grant's "Personal Memoirs," is in POOR condition, having the normal wear and tear to the library cover surfaces one would expect of such an important book. ![]() Ex-library binding (green color) of a FIRST EDITION of Vol. ![]()
